Separately Managed Accounts

Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) are an option for investors who want professional money managers to manage their assets. SMAs combine the expertise of a personal financial advisor who provides asset allocation and oversight with the investment strategy and expertise of a professional portfolio manager.

Evergreen offers a suite of separately managed strategies for investors that provide personalization, tax efficiency and direct ownership of underlying securities, all in an effort to help investors pursue their specific goals. Evergreen’s separately managed account managers have proven institutional track records in key investment disciplines. We believe Metropolitan West Capital Management offers a unique approach to value equity investing which has performed successfully in different market cycles, while Golden Capital Management takes a consistent, risk-controlled approach to core equity investing.

SMAs may enhance overall portfolio diversification, increase tax efficiency and minimize fees for investors with an investment time horizon of at least 2 to 3 years. Additionally, a SMA may facilitate and enhance tax planning and/or be structured to avoid investing in companies or industries inconsistent with the beliefs and principles of the investor.

With a SMA, investors pay a single fee for advice, trading, asset management, record keeping, manager selection and monitoring. The fees are based on assets rather than transaction volume, aligning the interests of the investor (preserving and growing capital) with those of the financial advisor and money manager. These investments are typically available for investors with $250,000 or more to invest.
